Download for Mac

One disk image with two apps: Clavarius and ClavariusHelper. Both are signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized.

DMG, about 13 MB. Version list: appcast.json.

Requirements

• macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.
• Apple silicon or Intel (one universal build).
• For plugin backends (the AI tab, Spanish, other tabs with a Python side): Python 3 on the Mac. The AI tab also needs Node 22 or later and the agent CLI you want to use.

Install

1. Open the DMG.
2. Drag Clavarius and ClavariusHelper into Applications.
3. Open Clavarius from Applications. The Helper starts by itself a few seconds later.
4. macOS asks for permissions the first time a feature needs them: Accessibility to paste into the previous app, Microphone for voice, Screen Recording for screenshots.

No account is needed for local use. Sign in only when you want to sync with another device.

What the Helper is

The window itself is sandboxed. Anything outside the sandbox goes through the Helper: running a plugin's Python backend, opening a file in Finder, installing an update. Without the Helper the window still works, minus those parts. The Helper accepts connections only from the app on the same Mac, with a token written into the app's own container.

Updates

The app checks api.clavarius.com/updates/appcast.json once a day and on "Check for Updates" in the menu. With the Helper running, "Install and Relaunch" downloads the DMG, verifies the signature and the Team ID, swaps the bundle and relaunches. Without the Helper it opens the download for you.

iPhone

The iPhone app is in TestFlight. Write to support for an invite.

Uninstall

1. Quit Clavarius and ClavariusHelper.
2. Delete both from Applications.
3. Your data lives in ~/Library/Containers/com.clavarius.mac/; delete that folder to remove it. Sync data on the relay is removed by deleting the account from the app (Settings, Sync) or by asking support.

Verify the download

After copying to Applications, both of these print nothing but the acceptance line:
